Questions people actually ask

If yours isn't here, email hello@letsmock.com and you'll get a real reply.

The interview
How long does a round take?

Five minutes on the free plan, fifteen on Pro, plus a few seconds for the scorecard. Long enough to get nervous, short enough to do on a walk.

What if I need a second to think?

Take it. The interviewer waits through a pause instead of talking over you, and pace is measured against the time you actually spent speaking — so thinking silently never reads as slow speech.

Why does it interrupt me?

Because real interviewers do, and a two-minute answer to a thirty-second question costs you the round. The interrupt fires when an answer keeps going after it has been made, or when it stays vague under a follow-up.

Can I use it without uploading a resume?

Yes — HR / Behavioural and CS Fundamentals need nothing from you. The Resume Grill is the one round that reads your PDF, because its questions come from your own projects.

Data, devices, billing
What happens to my resume and my recordings?

Your resume is used to generate questions for your own sessions and nothing else. Audio is transcribed for the interview and the scorecard; you can delete a session, its transcript and its scorecard from your history at any time.

Do I need headphones or a quiet room?

Headphones help, a studio doesn't. Anywhere you'd take a phone call works; heavy background noise makes the transcript, and therefore the delivery numbers, less exact.

Is there an iOS version?

Not yet. Android first, on the Play Store. Leave your email on the waitlist and mention iPhone — it's how the queue gets prioritised.

Will it get me the job?

No. It closes the gap between knowing an answer and saying it well, which is the part most people never practise. The rest is your work.
